Eyeshadow blending problems?

so i've never had this problem before, and i've been doing makeup like...my WHOLE life...but lately my eyeshadow wont blend and it looks blotchy and weird and darker in some spots.


i don't understand what's happening. I'm not sure if its my brushes or my eye shadows or what.


I just bought the coastal scents 88 eyeshadow pallet and idk if its my eyelids or what but i can't get it to blend right and go on evenly.


and yes i use a primer and put my foundation on my eyes and stuff.

im pretty sure its the eyeshadows. i have the same palette and those colors are extremely hard to blend and it takes forever... lolEyeshadow blending problems?
Try cleaning your brushes. I have the shimmer pallet from coastal scents and it works fine for me. So maybe your brushes need cleaning, or maybe you aren't using the right type of brush for it? But since you said you've been doing makeup for a while, you probably are. Just try cleaning them.


It really might just be that some eyeshadow takes longer to blend than others
Now, if it's new eyeshadow, it might just be the company so it might not work for you. OR, it could be your brush. I suggest you go to the store and first get another brush, different from the one you have, and see if that works. Just DO NOT THROW YOUR OLD BRUSH AWAY! It might not work, so just buy another one. If it doesn't work with the new brush, the eye shadow is the thing that's not working for you.
try not putting a primer and stuff on your eyes


maybe this sticks a bit harder to that and doesnt want to blend right
